Caterpillars

Head and tail pieces are tapered. Body segments are tight coil with a small raised center to help joining.

Each caterpillar is made up of 10 sections - 5 of each colour.

Make
5 caterpillars - 3mm x 5cm - 5 red, 5 blue
4 caterpillars - 3mm x 8cm
2 caterpillars - 3mm 12cm
1 caterpillar - 3mm 15cm.

Using a fine black pen mark eyes on head section and a black dot on both sides of the body sections.

Red apple
1 strip 3mm x 90 cm tight coil - domed.

Leaves
2 strips 3mm x 7cm - green to loose coil - eye shape.

Follow the photo or make up your own style.

This is a very simple pattern that helps with tension development.

You can use other colours or make longer caterpillars.
