PostSubject: Making boxes, envelopes and card templates   Tue 04 May 2010, 1:30 pm

Hi All,
Just had a lovely day at a retirement village yesterday and we made some butterfly cards, doilies for our recycled cd's and some fancy boxes all of which can be quilled onto. It was lovely to try something a little different from the standard card or box.
To get the templates for these I went to a site that just has a fantastic range of templates for all these so I wanted to share them with you.

I made a purse envelope and it turned out fantastic. I used a fringed pom pom flower for my catch and put a butterfly (small with 1.5mm strips) on the corner with some diamontees. If you make something, please share with me how you went.

Karon, I am sure all the residents of the retirement village look forward to your visits and it is good to hear that you enjoyed it. I know that part of your enjoyment is presenting something that is very well received and a stimulating and interesting social gathering for the residents. I was once told you get more out of volunteer/charity work than you put into it and this is so true. Please let us know if there is any way we can help you. Maybe some of us can come up with more ideas for you if you need them.

Thank you for the template link. It is really great and I will certainly be going there more than once.
