Hi Paula,
what ones have you got and what type of patterns are you looking for? Yes, there is so many out there. Being in the US I think your most economical option is AMAZON as you can get both second hand and new from them.
Here in Australia we have fishpond books which has wholesale prices. I like the look of this one and am considering purchasing it as it seems to have some good patterns 50 nifty quilled cards
Jo was talking about a book she recently got called thrilling quilling and she said it was fabulous. Speaking about Jo she is holidaying in Thailand at the moment with her family so I am hoping she is okay amongst all the political unrest they are experiencing over there at the moment.
Jean has 4 books she has written and you can contact her directly to get those and she can tell you more about them.
Another one that caught my eye is beautiful quilling step by step which seems to have several craft projects a little different from the run of the mill cards. If you click on the links they also have a review so you can read a little more about them. I have the book paper twirling which came with some paper and a plastic tool which is great for kids or kids cards. They have farm animals, aliens and many other kids projects which both me and my girls have enjoyed
hope that helps
Karon

Jean is your lady for the Australian flowers, all her books are full of Australian natives which you won't find anywhere else in the world.
Practical Quilling - contains over sixty quilling projects for creating gifts, paintings, and cards in categories such as "Easy Floral Designs," "Weddings & Anniversaries," and more
The Art of Paper Quilling: Designing Handcrafted Gifts and Cards With a focus on simple, elegant projects, "The Art of Paper Quilling" offers paper crafters a complete technique guide along with step-by-step project ideas for making beautiful framed pieces, cards, gifts and more
Quilling for Scrapbooks & Cards - Some of the designs work for a variety of themes--flowers, alphabets, numbers, and geometric shapes, as well as golf clubs, fishing poles, footballs, hearts, and shamrocks. The 25 card and 20 scrapbook projects emphasize special occasions: a birthday cake with candles, a beautiful bouquet for Mother's Day, a graduation cap with tassel, and tiny feet for sending congratulations to parents of newborns...
I have emailed you a few of my favourite patterns that I have collected. There is a site Craft creations free projects that contains many craft ideas. Type in quilling and the patterns will come up for you in their older editions. Also Inna's creations has patterns along with Pat Caputo at whimsiquills,

Hope that helps
