Hi Paula,
I have been stitching rather than quilling lately, also some knitting. However I did some paper fringing while watching TV the other night
Just wish some of our many lurkers would post.
What is your next planned quilled piece?
I plan to do some fuchsia flowers for a card, maybe tomorrow. Also I would like to do another shoe or a bag to match my 1st shoe.
Today I am hibernating as it is only going to get to 12C here. I thought I would watch a couple of movies for a change.

I had ordered 7 new quilling books and several kits and some metalic paper for dragon the colors are dark so I hope they work . with it being a Mistical I guess you can make it any color.

I've been painting weatherboards for the house and have been crocheting instead of quilling the last couple of days.

Will be quilling up some cards in the next couple of days.

Hi all,

I must say that I haven't really been considering quilling at the moment. I am spending a week with my sister who just lost her baby at 20 weeks, so it has been a bit of a sad time, but spending time with her has been good. I am planning a few things to quill for the baby, but I haven't started them yet as I am staying in Toowoomba, and it is around 6-14 degrees! So I can't hold the quilling tool for long! eeeekk... so cold! But they have a great range of paper in one of the craft stores here! So, looks like I am going home with yet more paper (not that I really need it mind) But I am sure that it won't go astray!! Exclamation
Hope you have a great day!

Keep on quilling!

You know I was thinking the other day wouldn't it be great to quill in metal!! Was thinking about decorating the letter box, might look into it when everything else is done.

Hey Jo,
I could just imagine you with a glass letterbox and all the quilling under it. I want to do one of those toilet seats, you know the clear plastic ones you see with sea shells or spiders in them? i reckon they would be really cool quilled. I have written and asked if they do custom pieces so I will wait to hear back

Thanks for your thoughts everyone and your prayers Paula! It has been a very sad week and it was her first baby, but she appears to be holding up ok on the outside. I can only provide her as much support as I can, the rest will be healing over time. So I have been madly baking for her to put some meals in the freezer! We are having a memorial on Saturday morning and then I fly home at 0835 on Sunday. I must say that I am looking forward to going home on Sunday, it is so cold here, where the day time top temperature doesn't even come near our low temperature in Townsville! Neutral I am a sook when it comes to cold temperatures as I am not used to them!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers everyone!

Karon, I am pretty familiar with Ningi, as I used to live on Bribie Island some years back - its a nice little place and they grow the most awesomest strawberries there! Yum! And good luck to Jo quilling her letterbox - that would be cool to see, looking forward to it! lol!

I am hoping to do some quilling today. I did stitching on Sat and Sunday. Public holiday does not make much difference to routine except DH is home.
I am looking forward to seeing the dragon too. Smile

too quiet

Post by Jean on 2010-06-17, 03:23

Hi, Jean here, have been very busy moving house. It has only been moving about 100 meters but the pack up and un pack is the same as 1000km. I also got crook from dust out of the carpet I pulled up. Went straight to my lungs. Almost back on deck health wise but still unpacking at night. Should have another pattern to add next week. I will also try a card with the feathers and see how it shapes up.

Talk again soon.

regards Jean
