SNOWING CARD

Post by Jean on 2010-08-30, 03:41

Snowflakes in 2 styles

Needle eye tool

Paper - white or very pale blue

Make 8 for card or as many as you like.

8 - 3mm x 7.5cm tight coil (centre for each smowflake)

Style 1 - for each - 10 -3mm x 7.5cm loose coil to 5mm diameter press to teardrop.
Position 5 teardrops (points out) evenly around centre then the other 5 between the points of the first 5.

Style 2 - for each - 12 - 3mm x 7.5cm loose coil to 5mm diameter press to eye shape.
Position 8 eyes avenly around centre, then e eye shapes between every second eye shape.

You can also make them into Christmas Tree decorations by not sticking them onto a card, but sticking the sides of the coils to each other. When dry coat the entire smowflake in pva glue and allow to dry before threading a fine cotton through an open space in one eye or teardrop. Keep them in a box of thrie own and they will last for ages.

That is a cute idea to put the snowflakes on the card Jean. The first time I viewed this message the image wasn't there. I am glad I came back to look again.

Very nice card. Blue and white are a favorite of mine. I like the idea of using them as tree ornaments too.
