Hi All,
I have asked Licia Politis from the Sydney quillers group to share a pieces she made last year that I am sure you will love.
Attached is a picture of 3d quilling piece that she quilled in 2009 called 'If the Shoe Fits, Wear It'. It measures approximately 500cms in height and 300cms in width and length.
This piece was done for the 2009 Royal Easter Show, where it was awarded the first in the 'any other quilled item' category. She also sent the piece to the English Guild and entered it into the 'Masters category' and was awarded a first in that category. It was recently featured in an exhibition at Hazelhurst Gallery, Gymea.
The piece consists of a jewellery mannequin, which holds the earrings at the base of the skirt, a shoe ring holder which holds rings, the handbag which is the brooch holder. She has also quilled a paper beaded neck piece, brooch and earrings. The base of the stand has also been quilled in a checker board design.
You may have had the chance to see this piece featured on a blog, called 'all things paper" by Ann Martin. If you haven't, the link.

You will find it at 2nd of November 2009 the feature of her blog.
Hope you are enjoying the warmer days everyone. Happy quilling
Karon
