Getting ready for the holidays

Post by Wendakai on 2010-11-05, 16:47

How are you ladies doing with your holiday quilling art? I've got a bunch of tags and cards done, but I'm getting frustrated. I had the ol' preserving kettle put away, but had to haul it out again to deal with some crabapples I didn't want but wouldn't waste. ;p Then there's the Halloween pumpkin.... same thing. Hoping to get back to the quilling on the weekend, but geez... where does the time go? Rolling Eyes

Ordered some paper (colors I didn't have) this week in preparation to start some new projects, including some birds I am working on for Christmas gifts. Can't wait to get going!

I tried some different things for Xmas cards this year... some mixed media cards. Smile Tags were pretty much same old, but I really enjoy making them. I think it's because they're tiny and quickly done so quick results. I'm wanting to make some fish, a butterfly and a couple of birds, but I really don't think I'm going to get there. And of course, since I do this for fun, I don't want to rush. Oh well... I think I'll work along all winter when I can, then I'll already be ready for next year. Smile
