Quilled Tea Light Holder Ball

Post by Guest on 2011-01-09, 04:56

Hi Everyone,

Since I'm new to all this I'm not sure if these have been done before. But I was trying to think of something "different"... This is what I came up with, and I do apologize for the messy look.. but I didn't know what I was doing...just knew I had to do it...so hopefully my next one will be better.

Easter? Birthdays? Just something different! Smile

That's amazing Sheree, how did you do it? you should be really proud of yourself. What a great idea

You're so nice Karon! Haha...I don't know what being "proud of myself" means..never have been, never will be...but that's for another forum! Smile

Actually...it was experiment...so it's just "put together", I didn't know much about how to do any of it, so I just pieced it the best I knew how. My biggest problem was how open it and turn the tealight off and on or even just to change it...and not have it drop out. So I just used one of the tins that a real tea light comes in and some double sided tape. I tried velcro..but it just didn't want to work right, I even tried a popsicle stick.. Smile It was a bunch of trial and error...Next time I'll hope I'll be a bit more patient and know a bit more about how to make it work Smile

I remember seeing the quilled ornament on here somewhere...and just embellished on that Smile Plus, I have a TON of battery operated tealights because I use them in little gourds.
