Keepsake Jewelry Boxes

Post by Cristina on 2011-03-15, 12:03

The first jewelry boxes of the Industrial Revolution were primarily crafted of antimonial lead as their base metal, which could give a durable, safe protection for
precious items. The boxes were then electroplated with copper and sported a gold or silver finish. These lovely boxes are considered antique jewelry Boxes or Trinket Boxes today.
