This was my last quilled framed poem. I made this one for my dad and his wife for christmas. My dad has cancer so I wanted to give him this poem, may you always have an angel by your side.

That is really pretty and a very appropriate gift. I'm sure your dad was thrilled.

Ok, I thought I was going ok for a beginner - but your stuff blows mine out of the water! lol. I love the flowers - they look so realistic!

Cathy,
Haha..have you seen some of my stuff? Oh dear!

You are doing a GREAT job! You are far better than I. But quilling, no matter how much time you have into it or how good or bad you are...is so forgiving and FUN...and such a stress relief..that it doesn't matter. Not only that...you will progress in a short time, once you get your own grip on that tool! Smile

Mixing crafts together helps too...punched flowers along with quilled ones...etc..

I hope this sounded encouraging...it was meant to be! Smile

lol. Thanks it was encouraging Smile I wasn't so much bothered by yours looking nicer than mine - more amazed at how great the stuff you'd shown was, and just kind of a comment. But it was really nice of you to say my bits and pieces are nice - and I will get better as I do more. I think we're always our own worst critics though Smile

Thanks everyone for the great comments, like Cathy said, sometimes we are our own worst critics! I am not that good at quilling yet. I use a circle guide to keep my rolls uniform in shape. I have been crafting in some form or other since I can remember. I keep coming back to paper. I love paper. There are so many things that you can make with it. I've been making cards for a couple of years now, but then I found the whimsiquill website and her stuff blows me away. It is so beautiful. The I bought Claire Choi's book and WOW! That is what I am striving for....one quill at a time.
