Another framed quilling to share

I made this frame last week for my friend Carla who got married last fall, she used fall colors for her wedding so I thought I would make her a quilling in the same colors. I used a couple of punched flowers in this one also.

Spectacular! Love the different petal shapes on the white flowers and the sunflowers. How did you do them?

Heather, the daisies are super simple to make. Use a daisy shaped paper punch and punch out 2 shapes. Mine is about 4cm across or 1 1/2 ". Use an embossing tool and a foam mat (I use a mousepad) and use the embossing tool to shape your petals, you can curve them up or down depending on the look you like. Make a fringed flower for the center. Glue the 2 petal shapes together so that the petals are staggered, glue the fringed flower in the center and that is it!
For the sunflowers, I cut out about 16 small triangles, and used pinking shears to cut the larger end off. Then I fringed them. Punch out a small circle and glue the triangles around in a flower shape. I use 6 triangles for the bottom layer. Glue another round of triangles on top of the bottom layer, and then another layer til all the triangles are used. You can place petals wherever you think the flower needs filling in. Make a fringed flower for the center and that is it!
I hope this helps you, if you need more help let me know and I can take photos of each step for you.
Have fun!
Hugs, Linda

I thought that might be how you did it Linda. They sure are well done and well worth the extra effort. Love the way you do your floral arranging as well.

Really pretty! I appreciate that you explained how to make the different flowers, since I am somewhat new to quilling. Thanks and keep up the good work!
