Congratulations to Krazeeldy (Sheree) for being the June Member of Month.
I hope you enjoy learning a little more about our member Sheree.
Tell us about you and your family?I was a single mom for 16 years to a fantastic son! My husband and I have now been married for 14.5 years. We have retired to a little place on 20 acres in Washington State, miles away from any "city" and we have very few neighbours.
Have you always been a crafty person? No way! But I dabble in "trying" to be crafty! I have all sorts of things I try to do like embroidery, pyrography (wood burning), polymer clay, gourds but I have to admit quilling and paper beads seem to have attracted all of my attention for now. I just love "chillin' with my quillin'"!
How did you get introduced to quilling? I bought two kits ages ago and promptly forgot about them, then I found this website...I think it's called...oh yeah...Creative Quilling and I met this fabulous and incredible woman named Karon! And therefore here I am...quilling!!!
What did you start with and how did you learn?Believe it or not, a watch. It was whilst searching for these watches that I found this website. How did I learn? It is obvious if you look at my work that I am self taught. I look at all the basic forms and just use my own imagination. I am not one to "copy". I like to think for myself and outside of the box! My thought for everything that I look at is "How can that be incorporated into quilling or paper beads?" It does get kind of irritating...not!
Who and what influences have there been on your quilling? Karon and this website and some of the women here are FABULOUS!
Do you combine quilling with other crafts?Oh, I try. I want to try to combine quilling with everything I do. I want to try combining it with polymer clay. I have been trying to combine it with altered art and jewelry. Once summer arrives and it is warm enough that I can go outside to clean gourds, I want to try it with a couple of gourds.
What is your favorite quilling? Of mine or someone else?Of mine? I would have to say the bracelet and earrings I have put in the May challenge, the springy ones!

Of someone else? I would have to say the blue and white plate that Lauren posted by Christine Donehue! OMG, that is the most awesome thing I've ever seen! It's the kind of thing you ooooohhhh and aaaahhhhhh over, because you just can't find the words to describe just how awesome it is.
What do you want to achieve with your quilling?HA...being able to control my GLUE! And of course, being able to get each of my twirls/curls/circles the same. That and of course being able to do more of it.
What work have you been especially proud of?Hmmm, I think that goes to the Red, White & Blue necklace! I couldn't believe I actually finished it! It's definitely not perfect...but I finished it and it's all mine.
What would you like to learn about? (i.e miniatures?)Oh, I want to learn the 3D stuff but I am not sure where to go to learn it. I did try some small things but I want to make something BIG. Trying to push it out without it all falling apart!
My goodness, I feel special being June's Member of the Month...

I feel very honored...Thank you!!
