When do you quill the most?

Post by Quill Me on 2011-08-21, 01:39

Day time or night time? Week day or weekend?
I must admit I do most of mine during the day time and during the week.
At night I sometimes fringe paper.

I am a night owl and the "creative" side of my brain does not click in until late in the day so I do most of my craft work late afternoon and into the depth of the night. I have an Ottlite (day lamp) which I usually use for quilling and other craft but on a nice, calm, sunny day I do enjoy sitting out on the balcony and quilling.

I haven't been quilling much at all lately. I know the reason I've kind of lost the pleasure in it...I just have to get over it and get back to enjoying it again! (Soon I hope)!

As the old saying goes, “early to bed early to rise”, but that is not the case, sometimes I wake up with some idea this could be any time like 4.00 in the morning. I just cannot help myself and have to get up and try these ideas out. Then in the evening I’m back in my hobby room in the evening sometimes late at night, I am just a craft freak. I am very lucky that my partner has a lot of understanding, and he lets me do my thing. As we have our annual art exhibition early next year, there is a lot to do. I will be presenting Quilling which will be my main craft, also Origami; this will be the first time that Quilling will be show here in Basel, that is why if anyone has any ideas what I also could also do in Quilling, that would be great. People like things they can use. So that is the story of my Quilling love.

Do not worry KrazeeLdy you will get bâck to it, just follow your heart and your inner voice, we all be here waiting for your return.

Good luck Toye, I think you'll do great!
I pretty much quill whenever in the mood, which is most of the time, lol, it depends on when I have orders and how many to do, I'd love to have more time to try different things, I'm afraid I'll get bored doing the same thing, have gotten into making more flowers.I think this winter I'll have more time to experiment.

I find I quill more in the winter since I don't like the outside in the snow and cold. The spring and summer, I am out in the garden more but it is too windy to quill without pieces blowing away.
