Toye, a piece of bubble wrap over the quilling will usually protect it. You can also use a padded post bag but this may increase the postage cost. When I had a small business making wedding invitations with quilling I supplied padded post bags for all the invitations and, over a twelve year period, only had two invitations that were slightly damaged.
