Thing-A-Ma JIG

Post by Jocelyneliza on 2011-10-16, 12:43

Apart from quilling I also do beading, mainly bead weaving and have put a few items on my blogspot.

Anyway I went to the Bead and Gem show today and bought a Thing-A-Ma JIG! (Wigjig is a similar product but much dearer). Had been looking at this product for a year or so but the cost was just too much.

Have a look at it here

With the strong AUD at the moment this product was half the price it had been so I bought it. Had a play with it and realised that I could use it for huskings. It works great and will put some photos up later in the week.

Then I had a look at another product I bought, a Multi-Mandrel and realised I could use this tool to make graduating sizes of open coils and, not only that but also ovals, squares and triangles.

Picture of the Mandrel here.

Thought you may find this interesting.

Back from Paradise

Post by toye on 2011-10-16, 16:12

What will they come up next, but it looks like a great idea and as you mentioned one can use it for many things.Thank you Jocely for sharing your interesting find

I'm back in town after spending 4 days up in Jura with my Partner, Freedom woooow, no cars, no buses, no computers well not for me, just my partner so he could work on his Home site and no noise. That was paradise; I was able to be quite creative and created a bowl of flowers. <I was a little disappointed like most of us out of 445 people that looked into challagers only 15 people voted oh! well that is a great pity.I hope in the next challenge there will be more members taking part and more people voting, we have to show people what great quillers we have in our forum.

Both of those tools look like they could work. Thanks for sharing.

Toye some of the views would be people like me who went back and kept an eye on which ones were winning. It is not 445 different people.

Jocelyn
That is great that you will have a multi use from your new tools. Well worth the money.

Woooops I am so sorry Heather, I did not know how the counting went, so I take back my remark about 445 times. But I still say it is a pity that so little people voted, never mind all ends well.
