Hi Bronwyn, yes I did understand what Sheree was telling me bless her, the problem was I ran out of silver rings, I have to get into town, while the thickness of the three squares put together was a problem, that is why I placed the first queer wise then the silver ring will be put on the other way. But thank you for noticing it, it is always great to have people giving each other tips and help. Have a great weekend and thank you for your kind words Very Happy

That is ok Sheree I have no problem with that,it's great that you gave me good advice, tips are always most welcomed. Coming to tips,I need some advice, up till now I have used the real greaseproof paper for my Quilling, that from England. Now I have run out of it, what can I use in place of it? I have tried with celevane (man oh man how do you spell that word) I think I have to back to the school bank lol! . Any tips I would be grateful thank you.Wishing every one a great and happy Quilling weekend

Oh Toye, I just buy the strips from online stores.
I just search on "quilling" and go from there. I've never heard of "greaseproof" paper..sounds interesting. And are you trying to say "cellophane"? I don't know that our cellophane would hold a twirl. None of our craft stores here, where I am, sell any quilling supplies at all.

Hopefully someone can help you find what you need...if you need me to get some for you...let me know! Very Happy

hugs

Hi Sheree greaseproof paper is what I need when I am working with my Quilling. It is the base so when the glue would get onto the greaseproof paper it does not stick to the quilling. I place it on my working board and do my Quilling on the greaseproof paper. So when I have done my Quilling I take it off the greaseproof paper. Yes that the stuff "cellophane" greaseproof paper is what you can wrap your sandwiches up in to keep them fresh.

AAAHhhhhhhh YaY! I got it! I use "waxed paper" to protect the quilling from sticking ... it's so available in our stores, it's used in cooking.

Cellophane is different then what we wrap sandwiches in, we use "Saran Wrap"..it's like a plastic wrap. Cellophane is stiffer. Very Happy

Very Happy

Yep honey bunny you got it wax paper now why could I not say that in the first place boy, I'm a dum bell lol! , and that is something that the Swiss does not have wax paper. If I would send some money could you send some to me, but wait after Christmas for there is so much going on with the post. I think the best way it to unroll it and fold it this way it would be easier to post wooow I would be more than grateful
