Tim Holtz Pocket Watch

Post by Heather on 2012-01-29, 22:33

These are absolutely perfect for quilling! They are about 2 inches in circumferance and 1/4 inch deep. They make fine necklaces and you can buy the matching ball chains or use any type of cord. The back of the watch is easily removed and if you just use a cardstock background and do not glue the cardstock to the back of the watch, the quilling is easy to exchange making this necklace extremely versatile. I am in the process of making some backgrounds to go into my pocket watch and will post the results in a couple of days. I just thought I would let you know so that you can keep an eye out for them. The price point is about $8-9. in the States and Canada.

Here is a link to the video where you can see how easy it is to take the back off and change the backgrounds.

Hi Heather it is great to have you back with us and you are feeling better, that you are doing some Quilling that is great. Thank you for this great tip, I sure will be ordering some of those watches for my exhibition. Heather I have some good news; I will be in Vancouver BC on the 11.12.2012 to visit my long life Girlfriend and her Family. I would love to see you, but I know it is too far away. But i would love to phone you and have a chat, that is if you are home and if I may. Take care
Hugs

Here are the watches I have done so far. The one with the Santa has been made into a bit of a shaker watch with Flower Soft as snow. My sister's name is Holly and she will get this watch next year for Christmas.

Great idea! These are a little more versatile than the wrist watch. I might have to try and track some down.

Thanks for sharing Heather.
